Welcome to Returnity. Peer Support for Lawyers on Parental Leave and Returning to Work.

Returnity is designed to support lawyers on parental leave in what can be a challenging time as they welcome a baby into their family, and eventually return to work. All lawyers on/about to go on parental leave (paternity, maternity, adoption) are welcome.

A cohort generally runs from September to June, and members are welcome to come and go depending on when they start/finish parental leave. We currently have cohorts running in Calgary and Edmonton. Programming is mainly held during the daytime on weekdays and in-person. 

Cohort leaders organize program events and are participants’ main points of contacts if they have questions.   

By design, the cohort leaders will change each year. Each cohort leader is empowered to shape program events in a way that best serves their cohort. Returnity is founded and led by Kay Johnson.
